As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a government location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and adhering to site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing training and judgment as required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols, both inside and around the perimeter of government locations, to observe and report any irregularities or suspicious activity.
• Carry and operate authorized firearms in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Assist with access control by verifying credentials and monitoring entry points to help to deter unauthorized entry into restricted areas.
• Complete thorough and accurate documentation of daily activities, observations, and incidents as required by site and company protocols.
• Work collaboratively with site staff, visitors, and/or local authorities to promote a secure environment.
• Remain alert and prepared to respond to emergencies or unusual situations at all times during the assigned shift.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• Must have at least 6 months of experience in armed security-related work, law enforcement, and/or military service.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
