As a Security Officer - Chemical Site Patrol in Lemont, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help create a secure environment for all personnel and visitors. This is a driving post, so you will operate a vehicle as part of your patrol duties. By maintaining a visible presence and providing outstanding customer service, you will help to deter security-related incidents and respond to situations as they arise. Pay Rate: $20.85 / Hour

Sat10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity and observing for any unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help control access and report any suspicious activity.
  • Communicate clearly with site personnel and Allied Universal management regarding incidents or concerns observed during patrols.
  • Complete detailed and accurate reports on incidents, observations, and daily activities as required by site protocols.
  • Remain alert to potential hazards or unusual conditions specific to chemical and petrochemical environments, and report these promptly according to site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • A Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by the Transportation Security Administration is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
