Security Officer - Armed Patrol Driver

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Driver in Lexington, KY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a high-profile tech and media location, you will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using de-escalation techniques when needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the premises and perimeter of the location, which may include both indoor and outdoor environments.
• Monitor for suspicious activity and help to deter unauthorized access or behavior within the location.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and staff while representing Allied Universal.
• Document and report incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.
• Maintain awareness of the unique needs and protocols associated with a technology, media, or telecommunications environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
• Possess a valid concealed carry weapons permit.
• Hold an active Department of Defense Secret security clearance.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
