As a Airport Law Enforcement Officer in Lihue, HI, you will serve and safeguard the airport, its facilities, its travelers, and airport operations. You will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment at a government location. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols, remaining highly visible to support a secure atmosphere, and providing outstanding customer service. This position requires you to be armed and to drive as part of your daily duties. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $28.86 / Hour with an hourly bonus of $3.58. Premium paid shall be based on the position actually worked by the employee.

Minimum Qualifications (NO EXCEPTIONS):

To be considered, all applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • 2+ years of professional law enforcement experience in the U.S. after graduating from a certified law enforcement academy (Federal, State, or County level)
  • Must provide valid and verifiable credentials at the time of application

Pre-Employment Requirements:

  • Graduate of Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or Equivalent (must provide credentials upon applying)
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Law Enforcement Officer License
  • 21+ years of age

What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location and its perimeter, adapting to varying working environments and conditions.
  • Monitor for unusual activity and report any security-related concerns to the appropriate authorities or management.
  • Assist with access control and verify identification of individuals entering restricted areas.
  • Support law enforcement and emergency response personnel as needed during incidents.
  • Help to deter unauthorized activities and/or breaches by maintaining a visible presence.
  • Complete detailed incident reports and daily activity logs as required by Allied Universal and site protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 2 years of experience in law enforcement, military police, or corrections.
  • Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or possess an equivalent qualification.
  • Possess a valid armed guard card or license as required by applicable laws and regulations.
  • Be at least 22+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
