As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic airport location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming experience for travelers, employees, and visitors. You will report observations, respond to concerns, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements:
- Valid Driver's License (+1 years)
- 18+ years of age
- Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently
- Ability to pass a background check, physical, and drug screening
- Ability to pass a background check according to the DOT Pass and ID office
What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, employees, and other stakeholders by carrying out site-specific procedures and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at an airport location.
- Respond to incidents, suspicious activity, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate airport personnel and/or emergency responders as required.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of terminal areas, public access points, parking facilities, perimeter areas, and other assigned locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and observe pedestrian and vehicle activity in assigned areas, reporting unusual conditions, policy violations, and maintenance concerns through established channels.
- Prepare accurate reports and maintain required activity logs, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with site-specific policies.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least one year of security-related experience is required.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
