As a AirportSecurity Professional - Curbside Patrol in Lihue, HI, you will safeguard the airport, staff, and it's facilities. Along with driving, patrolling, checking, and securing doors. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal serving a government location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help to deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment for all visitors and staff. Position Type: Part Time - Afternoon/Morning

Pay Rate: $22.50 / Hour with an hourly bonus of $3.93. The premium paid shall be based on the position actually worked by the employee.

Sat02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
Sun06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

Requirements:

  • Valid Driver's License (+1 years)
  • 21+ years of age
  • Ability to pass a background check, physical, and drug screening
  • Ability to pass a background check according to the DOT Pass and ID office
  • Experience in CCTV Monitoring and 1+ year of security experience

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and staff by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, disturbances, and suspicious activity, and notify appropriate personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of terminals, public areas, parking areas, access roads, and perimeter boundaries to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Control access to restricted and/or operational areas by checking credentials, monitoring doors and gates, and assisting with visitor processing as directed by post orders.
  • Monitor alarms, CCTV, and other security-related systems when assigned, and report irregular conditions, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns through the proper channels.
  • Provide visible presence and support crowd management during peak travel times, special events, and/or irregular operations.
  • Complete detailed reports of daily activity, incidents, and observations, and communicate significant updates during shift transitions.
  • Coordinate with local government personnel, airline and/or facility representatives, and emergency services as needed while maintaining a professional demeanor.
  • Assist with lost and found inquiries, wayfinding, and general customer assistance while maintaining awareness of security-related conditions.
  • Perform additional duties in accordance with site-specific post orders, with working environments and conditions varying by location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 1 year of security experience.
  • Be 21 years of age or older.
  • Be able to lift up to 20 pounds preferred.
  • Hold a CPR certification preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for unarmed roles; 22+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
