Security Officer Patrol

As a Security Officer Patrol in Lompoc, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a dynamic tech/media/telecom location, where you will help monitor entry points, verify badges and credentials, and support security-related operations with professionalism and care. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. You will also conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service through teamwork, integrity, and clear communication.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a tech and communications location.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, manage visitor check-in processes, and report unusual or unauthorized activity in accordance with post orders and security-related protocols.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting events and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, lobby areas, access points, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
- Support day-to-day site operations by maintaining detailed logs, assisting with badge or credential issues, and following Allied Universal standards for access control and incident reporting.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
