Security Officer Access Gate Monitor

As a Security Officer Access Gate Monitor in Longwood, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic auto auction location where you will monitor entry points, manage access control procedures, and support security-related operations through visible presence, routine patrols, and professional communication. In this role, you will help to deter incidents while delivering strong customer service to guests and staff. - Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, employees, and vendors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an automotive location.
- Monitor entry and exit points for people, vehicles, and deliveries, verifying credentials, authorizations, and documentation in accordance with established post orders and security-related protocols.
- Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues to site leadership and/or emergency services when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, lots, gate areas, and perimeter, observing for unusual activity, property concerns, and policy violations that could help to deter unauthorized access.
- Document daily activities, incidents, and visitor and/or vehicle access information in required logs and reports, while communicating clearly with customers, coworkers, and site contacts.
Minimum Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years of security-related experience is required.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
