As a Security Guard - Armed Transportation Patrol in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Transportation, and more.

As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a secure environment within a dynamic transportation location. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout assigned areas, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and responding promptly to situations as they arise. This is an armed position, requiring you to carry and maintain proficiency with authorized equipment while upholding the highest standards of professionalism and integrity. Pay Rate: $27.58 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the transportation location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and promote a secure environment.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and report any suspicious behavior or activity.
• Communicate with Allied Universal management and local authorities, as necessary, regarding security-related matters and incidents.
• Document all incidents, observations, and activities in accordance with company and site-specific protocols.
• Maintain a visible presence and provide assistance to clients, employees, and/or the public as needed in the transportation environment.
• Adhere to all licensing and training requirements for armed patrol posts and maintain proper care and control of assigned equipment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must possess a valid Armed Guard Card or License.
• Baton Certification is preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Must participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
