As a Security Guard Full Time Visitor Check In Desk in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Front Desk Security Officer at an educational location, you will help create a welcoming, secure environment by managing visitor access, monitoring entry activity, assisting students, staff, and guests, and responding to security-related concerns. Your exceptional customer service and communication will support a positive experience for everyone on site. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
- Staff the front desk, greet and screen visitors, verify access authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate entry records in accordance with location procedures.
- Monitor access points, cameras, alarms, and communications systems from the front desk, reporting unusual activity or concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Respond to incidents, requests for assistance, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
- Assist with directing visitors, providing campus information, and coordinating with school personnel and emergency responders as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
