Security Officer - Armed Government Patrol

As a Security Officer - Armed Government Patrol in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents through your visible presence. You will provide professional support to staff and visitors, responding promptly to situations as they arise and delivering outstanding customer service. Your role will contribute to maintaining a secure environment by being alert, approachable, and ready to address various security-related needs. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the assigned government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or potential threats.
• Monitor and report any suspicious activity, security-related hazards, or irregularities observed during patrols.
• Maintain a high level of visibility while on post to help to deter unwanted behavior and provide reassurance to personnel and visitors.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency personnel as required by site protocols.
• Follow all company and client protocols regarding the carrying and use of firearms while on duty.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• An armed guard card or license is required.
• Baton certification is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Pepper spray certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
