Security Officer Campus Patrol Job in Los Angeles, California

As a Security Officer Campus Patrol in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a dynamic educational location. You will monitor access points, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide courteous assistance to students, staff, and visitors. Use strong communication and customer service skills while contributing to a caring, reliable team that acts with integrity and supports a welcoming campus environment.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus partners while carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, academic areas, residence-adjacent spaces, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity or hazards.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, requests for assistance, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate campus contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
- Monitor access points and observe campus activity, helping to maintain authorized access in accordance with site procedures.
- Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation, and communicate relevant information during shift handoffs.
Minimum Requirements:
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
