As a Security Officer - Front Desk Tech/Media in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional with Allied Universal at a leading tech and media location, you will be the first point of contact for employees, visitors, and guests. Your role involves managing access control, monitoring entry points, and providing a welcoming, customer-oriented experience while remaining alert to security-related matters. You will help to deter incidents by maintaining a visible presence and utilizing your communication skills to address inquiries and support the day-to-day operations of this dynamic environment. What You'll Do:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for visitors, guests, and employees at the front desk, providing a welcoming and professional presence.
  • Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies in accordance with Allied Universal guidelines.
  • Assist with visitor management, including checking identification, issuing badges, and maintaining visitor logs as required by site protocols.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations at the front desk in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues as necessary.
  • Monitor access to the location, helping to deter unauthorized entry and reporting any suspicious activity promptly.
  • Answer and direct phone calls or inquiries to the appropriate personnel or departments within the facility.
  • Provide general information and assistance to employees and guests, assisting with wayfinding or answering basic questions about the location as needed.
  • Support emergency response activities by following established protocols and coordinating with site personnel and/or emergency responders.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possession of a valid guard card or security license issued by the state, county, or city is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
