Security Officer Full Time Entry Authorization Job in Los Angeles, California

As a Security Officer Full Time Entry Authorization in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a dynamic higher education location, you will help manage entry points, verify authorized access, monitor activity, and provide outstanding customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors. Your visible presence and clear communication will help support a welcoming, secure environment. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or contractors while carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Monitor access points at an educational location by verifying credentials, managing visitor entry, and documenting access-related activity in accordance with site procedures.
- Respond to access-control incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate campus personnel and/or emergency responders.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
- Maintain accurate logs, incident reports, and visitor records, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
