Security Officer Gate Access Control Job in Los Angeles, California

As a Security Officer Gate Access Control in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will manage visitor entry, verify credentials, monitor access points, and provide welcoming, professional service. You will help deter security-related incidents through a visible presence, clear communication, and timely reporting. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and production personnel by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Monitor access points at a technology, media, and telecommunications location; verify credentials, manage visitor entry, and maintain accurate access-related records.
- Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate with appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, exits, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
- Support a professional, welcoming environment while following Allied Universal and site-specific procedures for deliveries, contractors, and restricted areas.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
