Security Officer Hospital Patrol Unit

As a Security Officer Hospital Patrol Unit in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support patients, visitors, and staff with professional customer service and communication. In this dynamic role, you will use teamwork, integrity, and a caring approach to help create a welcoming environment while responding to site needs with agility and reliability.

- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, while communicating clearly with staff, visitors, and emergency responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual behavior.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas, helping to control access, observe conditions, and report security-related concerns according to site procedures.
- Support a welcoming environment by assisting with directions, handling routine questions, and documenting incidents and/or daily activities in a timely manner.
Minimum Requirements:
- Meet hospital vaccine requirements.
- Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
