Security Officer Lobby Screening

As a Security Officer Lobby Screening in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Front Desk Officer at a government location, where you will help create a professional and welcoming first impression while supporting access control, visitor management, and other security-related responsibilities. In this stationary role, you will use strong communication and customer service skills to help address questions, monitor activity, and support daily operations. Our agile, reliable, and innovative team puts people first and acts with integrity.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service at the front desk by carrying out site-specific procedures, managing visitor access, and supporting security-related protocols for a government office location.
- Greet employees, visitors, and vendors, verify identification and/or credentials, and help direct individuals to the appropriate office, meeting area, and/or department.
- Monitor the lobby, entry points, and front desk activity, document unusual incidents, and communicate concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Answer phones, assist with sign-in processes, issue visitor badges and/or temporary access items, and maintain accurate front desk records in line with location policies.
- Respond to incidents, questions, and critical situations at the front desk with professionalism, and support emergency response activities when appropriate.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
