Security Officer Vehicle Patrol Job in Los Angeles, California

As a Security Officer Vehicle Patrol in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, document observations, and provide professional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of government facilities, surrounding grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
- Monitor access to designated areas, verify visitor authorization as directed, and maintain accurate logs and incident documentation.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site personnel and public-service agencies as needed.
- Report hazards, suspicious activity, policy violations, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel in accordance with site procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least two years of security-related experience is required.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
- Baton certification is preferred.
- Handcuffing certification is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
