Security Professional - Armed Transit Patrols

As a Security Professional - Armed Transit Patrols in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Transportation, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol transportation locations to help create a secure environment for all. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents as you conduct thorough patrols and remain highly visible. This position requires carrying a firearm in accordance with regulations. You will interact with the public, deliver outstanding customer service, and communicate clearly while supporting the values of teamwork, integrity, agility, and reliability that make Allied Universal a leader in the industry.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, utilizing de-escalation techniques when necessary.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the transportation location and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities.
• Monitor access points and observe for unusual or suspicious behavior, reporting all concerns in accordance with established protocols.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential security-related threats and provide reassurance to employees, visitors, and/or passengers.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders as needed during incidents or emergencies.
• Complete detailed written reports on incidents, observations, and daily activities as required by Allied Universal and client protocols.
• Follow all armed post protocols, including the responsible handling and use of assigned firearms in compliance with local laws and Allied Universal guidelines.
• Participate in ongoing training and drills to stay current on security-related procedures, emergency response, and client-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
