As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or members of the public while carrying out site-specific procedures and emergency response activities at a government location.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns.
- Monitor access to restricted areas, verify authorized entry as directed by site procedures, and maintain visitor and incident documentation.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
- Complete accurate shift reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton is preferred.
- Pepper spray certification is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
