As a Screener at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help maintain a secure environment by screening personnel, visitors, and/or materials in accordance with site procedures. You will monitor screening equipment, report security-related concerns, provide professional customer service, and communicate clearly with team members. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and drivers by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Screen personnel, visitors, and authorized items entering designated areas in accordance with site procedures and applicable requirements.
- Monitor access points and report unauthorized entry attempts, suspicious activity, and security-related concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions according to site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned logistics and distribution areas, including the business interior, exterior, loading areas, and perimeter, while working conditions may vary by location.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Loss prevention experience is preferred.
- X-ray screening experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
