Allied Universal is Currently Hiring a Full Time Armed Security Officer for a State Site in Lowell MA
Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 8 AM - 6 PM
Starting Pay is $25.88 Per Hour / Paid Orientation / Paid Training
Candidate Must Have a Concealed Carry Permit and 1+ Years of Previous Related Experience
As a Security Officer in Lowell, MA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal in a dynamic government location where you will conduct armed patrols, monitor assigned areas, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. This role calls for professionalism, strong communication, and exceptional customer service while supporting daily operations. - Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with supervisors, public officials, and/or first responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter locations, with working environments and conditions varying by site.
- Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and/or vehicle activity to help support authorized access, report unusual activity, and follow post orders related to government operations and public-facing locations.
- Prepare written reports on incidents, patrol activities, and/or security-related concerns, and assist with traffic or pedestrian direction during emergencies, special activities, and other operational needs.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess a valid concealed carry weapons permit.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
