Armed Security Officer Full Time

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol in Lynchburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence. You will support access activity, respond to alarms and site needs, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control practices, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or local authorities as needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, production areas, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, screen visitors and/or deliveries, and support traffic flow for employees, contractors, and shipments entering or leaving the location.
- Complete detailed activity logs, incident reports, and shift pass-downs, while following Allied Universal standards and site-specific post orders related to security-related operations.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- An armed guard card or license is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
