As a Security Officer Screener in Madison, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Screener in a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will support access control by screening personnel and visitors, verifying badges, monitoring entry points, and reporting security-related concerns. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused facility by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Screen individuals, packages, deliveries, and/or property entering the location in accordance with established screening procedures and site requirements.
- Verify identification, access credentials, and visitor authorization; maintain accurate visitor, delivery, and incident documentation as required.
- Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; promptly communicate observations to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, entry points, and surrounding business perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
Minimum Requirements:
- Loss prevention experience is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
