As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Reception Alarm Response in Malvern, PA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.
Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour
Access Control/Badge Experience (B201):Candidates should have prior experience with access control systems and badge management.
Alarm Panel Experience (B202):Familiarity with alarm panel operations is required for relevant positions.
Customer Service Experience (B219):Candidates must demonstrate a background in customer service, showcasing their ability to interact positively with clients and customers.
21+ Years of Age (C101):All candidates must be at least 21 years of age at the time of application.
Client Requires Proof of HS Diploma/GED (C137):Candidates must provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as part of the application process.
Lift Up to 20 lbs (B208):Candidates should be capable of lifting items weighing up to 20 pounds as required by the job responsibilities.

How This Role Works:
- Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
- Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.
This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
Responsibilities:
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, employees, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
- Staff the front desk by greeting visitors, managing access in accordance with site procedures, verifying identification and/or visitor authorization, and directing individuals to appropriate areas.
- Monitor entry activity, visitor logs, communications systems, and/or security-related equipment; report unusual activity or policy concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established healthcare location procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of visitors, incidents, and other front-desk activities, while providing professional assistance and maintaining confidentiality as required.
Minimum Requirements:
- Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
- Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
