What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients, guests, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating relevant details to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the sales floor, entrance areas, stockroom access points, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points, observe customer and employee activity, and report suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or maintenance issues that could impact daily operations.
- Support asset protection efforts by maintaining a visible presence, assisting with crowd and queue observation, and following post orders related to high-value merchandise and store closing procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- One or more of the following is required: 1+ years of law enforcement experience, 2+ years of security-related supervisor/manager experience, or 3+ years of security-related experience.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Loss prevention experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
