What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the government location, including the business and perimeter areas.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or criminal behavior.
• Document observations, incidents, and activities according to Allied Universal policies and procedures.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and law enforcement as needed.
• Follow all instructions related to the handling and carrying of firearms while on duty in accordance with legal requirements and Allied Universal guidelines.
• Support access control measures by monitoring entrances and verifying credentials as required.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age as required for certain positions.
• Possess a valid armed guard card or license as required by state and/or local law.
• Possess a valid California weapons permit with a 9mm caliber endorsement.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Experience and/or certification in the use of handcuffs, pepper spray, or baton is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
