As a Security Guard - Armed Media Facility in Mc Lean, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a leading tech and media location, you will conduct regular patrols, remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and respond promptly to incidents as they arise. What You'll Do:

• Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies as directed by Allied Universal, providing customer service to clients and visitors at the location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the business premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and monitor for unusual conditions.
• Maintain awareness of the environment and report any security-related concerns or incidents to the appropriate personnel.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials of individuals entering restricted areas as required by site-specific policies.
• Document and communicate observations, incidents, and/or activities in accordance with Allied Universal and client procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Hold an active Department of Defense Secret clearance.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
