Security Officer - Commerical Building

As a Security Officer Patrol License Holder in Melville, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location, where you will conduct routine patrols, stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this role, you will support a people-first culture built on teamwork, integrity, and reliability while helping operations run smoothly in a fast-paced environment.

- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing relevant details with site contacts.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout production areas, shipping and receiving zones, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials when required, and report suspicious behavior, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations in accordance with post orders.
- Support daily operations by maintaining a visible presence, following Allied Universal standards, and communicating professionally with personnel regarding security-related matters.
Minimum Requirements:
- A New York State Security Guard License is required.
- Supervisory experience is required.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
