Security Guard - Armed Hospital

As a Security Guard - Armed Medical Facility in Memphis, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and provide a visible presence for all who visit the location. Your role includes conducting routine patrols, supporting a welcoming atmosphere, and delivering outstanding customer service. You will play a key part in fostering a secure environment while upholding our values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations within the healthcare location in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access or security-related breaches.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, visitors, and patients while upholding the policies of the healthcare location.
• Observe and report any unusual activity, security-related hazards, or incidents as per Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.
• Support emergency response activities and assist first responders as needed in accordance with healthcare location procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
