Security Officer Armed Patrol Unit

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Unit in Memphis, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Armed Security Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support patients, visitors, and staff with exceptional customer service and communication. This armed post calls for professionalism, sound judgment, and integrity while working as part of a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative team.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, including situations that may require an armed presence consistent with post orders.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity, unsecured access points, and/or conditions that may need attention.
- Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and high-traffic locations to help support authorized access, direct foot traffic, and/or report suspicious behavior according to site protocols.
- Document incidents, patrol activity, and observations in required reports, and communicate clearly with supervisors, local personnel, and/or first responders during routine and emergency situations.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton experience is preferred.
- CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
