As a Security Officer Badge Verification in Memphis, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor entry points, verify badges and credentials, and support daily access control operations. You will remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents while delivering outstanding customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, badge verification, and security-related policies at a logistics and distribution location.
- Monitor entry and exit activity for personnel, contractors, and delivery vehicles, helping to deter unauthorized access and documenting arrivals, departures, and visitor information as required.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying site contacts and/or emergency services when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, trailer yards, parking areas, and perimeter locations, with working environments and conditions varying by site.
- Support shipping and receiving operations by verifying credentials, checking seals and paperwork when required, and reporting unusual activity, damaged property, and/or policy concerns to site leadership.
Minimum Requirements:
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
