Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Response Job in Memphis, Tennessee

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Response in Memphis, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic technology location, you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter incidents, monitor access points, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. You will communicate professionally, respond to security-related concerns, and provide exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including offices, production or logistics spaces, parking areas, access points, and the facility perimeter, to help identify and report unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures; verify credentials as directed and report access concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify Allied Universal leadership and/or site contacts as required.
- Complete activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least one year of security-related experience.
- CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- This is primarily a driving post.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
