As a Security Officer - Hospital Screener in Memphis, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more.

As a Screener in a healthcare environment, you will play a vital role in helping to create a secure and welcoming atmosphere for patients, staff, and visitors. Your responsibilities include monitoring entrances, conducting health-related screenings, and assisting with access control to help deter security-related incidents. You will be a visible presence, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting the well-being of everyone at the location. What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and screen individuals entering the healthcare location, following established protocols for entry and access.
  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including those related to health and wellness requirements.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as necessary.
  • Monitor entry points to help to deter unauthorized access and/or prohibited items from entering the location.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with visitors, staff, and/or patients, providing information and direction as needed.
  • Document and report any suspicious activity, incidents, or irregularities according to site and Allied Universal protocols.
  • Support emergency response activities as directed by site leadership or Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Applicants must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Applicants may be required to provide proof of vaccination as required by the hospital client.
  • Applicants must be able to assist in restraining individuals as required by hospital protocols.
  • Applicants may be required to work in or around hospital morgue areas as required by the client.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
