What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors while carrying out armed security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with facility personnel and public emergency responders as appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the facility, parking areas, entrances, restricted areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and assist with access-control procedures for visitors, patients, staff, vendors, and contractors in accordance with site-specific requirements.
- Document incidents, observations, and security-related activities accurately and promptly, and maintain required qualifications and equipment for an armed post.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
- Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.
- CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
