Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Security

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Security in Memphis, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support patients, visitors, and staff with outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to staff, patients, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related practices, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or medical location concerns in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting unusual activity to the appropriate contacts.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor entrances, lobbies, hallways, and/or other assigned areas to help to control access, provide directions, and support a professional environment within the location.
- Assist with security-related calls for service, de-escalation support, and/or requested escorts for staff, patients, and visitors while following post orders and Allied Universal guidelines.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton is preferred.
- CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
