Security Officer Access Control Job in Mesquite, Texas

As a Security Officer Access Control in Mesquite, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor entry points, verify badges, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence. This role calls for strong customer service and communication while supporting a caring, agile, and reliable team that values integrity, innovation, and teamwork.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a busy logistics and distribution location.
- Monitor entry and exit points for employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery drivers, confirming credentials and logging access activity in accordance with post instructions.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, gate areas, trailer yards, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and support security-related operations.
- Help to deter unauthorized access by verifying vehicles, screening visitor and vendor access requests, and reporting issues involving restricted areas, packages, and/or shipment-related activity.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
