As a Patrol Armed Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and creating a secure environment for all occupants. In this armed role, you will remain visible during routine patrols, build strong rapport through exceptional customer service, and respond professionally to any incidents that may arise. Pay Rate: $22.26 / Hour

What You'll Do:

  • Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies as directed by Allied Universal, providing professional customer service to all individuals at the location.
  • Respond calmly and use problem-solving skills during incidents and critical situations, following established emergency response protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the assigned premises and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
  • Monitor for and report suspicious activities, hazards, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols to the appropriate authorities or management.
  • Maintain a visible presence at designated posts while armed, adhering strictly to company and legal protocols regarding weapons handling.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services as required during incidents or routine operations at government facilities.
  • Complete thorough and accurate incident reports and daily activity logs in accordance with Allied Universal guidelines.
  • Participate in ongoing training to remain current on security-related procedures, emergency response, and changes to site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Graduation from a law enforcement or military police training program or an equivalent is required.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • A college degree is required.
  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A corrections officer license is required.
  • Applicants must provide a DD214 with honorable discharge or an associate degree or 60 college credits or a police academy certificate or a corrections academy certificate.
  • A law enforcement officer license is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
