As a Security Guard - Armed Residential Patrols in South Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more.

As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will have the opportunity to help create a secure environment within a residential community by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence throughout the location. This armed and driving position involves monitoring assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents, responding promptly to situations as they arise, and engaging with residents and guests through exceptional customer service and communication. Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional customer service to residents and guests by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the residential community and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or potential threats.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter unauthorized access and promote a secure environment.
• Document incidents, observations, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal protocols and client requirements.
• Work collaboratively with residents, property management, and local law enforcement as needed to address security-related concerns.
• Maintain awareness of surroundings and promptly report any suspicious activity or security-related hazards encountered during patrols.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience or 1 year of law enforcement experience or 2 years of security supervisor or manager experience or 3 years of security-related experience.
• Must possess a valid armed guard card or license as required by state and/or local regulations.
• Must be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
