Security Officer Armed Bicycle Patrol Job in Miami, Florida

As a Security Officer Armed Bicycle Patrol in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will conduct highly visible bicycle patrols, monitor assigned areas, and help deter security-related incidents. You will interact professionally with employees and visitors, communicate observations, and support a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at government facilities.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and verify authorization for personnel, visitors, and vehicles in accordance with site procedures.
- Prepare accurate reports and maintain required activity logs for incidents, patrols, and unusual conditions.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be able to ride a bike.
- Possess a DD214 with an honorable discharge, an associate degree, 60 college credits, a police academy certificate, or a corrections academy certificate.
- The ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Baton certification is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
