Security Officer Armed Driver Patrol Specialist

As a Security Officer Armed Driver Patrol Specialist in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Security Officer in a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support a professional environment through strong customer service and communication. This is an armed and driving post, offering the opportunity to work with purpose while reflecting Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.

Pay Rate: $22.26 / Hour
Job Schedule:
The exact schedule for this role has not been determined. That is common for this type of position and may depend on pre-hire steps that take time which could include the onboarding and training processes. If hired, your manager will work with you to determine your schedule based on business needs and your availability.
What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a government location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting observations and reporting relevant details through proper channels.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and verify identification, visitor entry, and/or authorized vehicle access in accordance with post orders and government location protocols.
- Support public-facing operations by assisting employees, visitors, and/or contractors with directions, information, and reporting of security-related concerns.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or a college degree.
- Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
- Possess an armed guard card or license.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Possess a corrections officer license.
- Possess a DD214 with honorable discharge or an associate degree or 60 college credits or a police academy certificate or a corrections academy certificate.
- Possess a law enforcement officer license.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
