As a Security Officer Armed Driver Route in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Security Officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, perform routine vehicle and on-foot patrols, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or public agencies as needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and help to control entry and exit activity in accordance with post orders, screening protocols, and applicable location requirements.
- Support security-related operations by maintaining a visible presence, following armed post instructions, and preparing accurate reports on incidents, patrol activity, and/or policy violations.
Minimum Requirements:
- Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Possess a DD214 with honorable discharge, an associate degree, 60 college credits, a police academy certificate, or a corrections academy certificate.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
