Security Officer - Armed Government Patrol Driver

As a Security Officer - Armed Government Patrol Driver in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer in a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remaining visible to help to deter security-related incidents and provide a welcoming presence. This role involves both armed responsibilities and driving duties. You will interact with the public and staff, deliver exceptional customer service, and respond promptly to incidents, all while upholding Allied Universal's values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, including responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols within the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Monitor and control access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and maintain an orderly environment.
• Maintain awareness of the surroundings and report any security-related concerns or unusual circumstances to the appropriate personnel.
• Interact with the public and/or employees in a courteous manner while upholding the security-related standards set by Allied Universal.
• Complete required reports and documentation accurately and promptly as related to incidents, patrols, and daily activities.
• Follow all protocols for armed security-related posts, including proper handling of assigned equipment and adherence to legal and company guidelines.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have three or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Able to ride a bike.
• Possess a valid driver’s license with a class B and passenger endorsement.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
