As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Driver in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. This driving position offers the opportunity to provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a caring, reliable team at Allied Universal that acts with integrity.
Position Type: Full Time
Pay Rate: $21.91 / Hour
Job Schedule:
This is a full-time position. You can expect to work a minimum of 30 hours per week. The schedule for this position has not been assigned yet. If you are selected to move forward, your schedule will be determined as you progress through the hiring, onboarding, and training process. Your manager will work with you to assign a schedule based on business needs before your start date.
What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
- Respond to incidents, public concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and/or public agencies as directed by site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations.
- Monitor access to restricted areas, verify authorized entry as directed, and maintain accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and patrol documentation.
- Assist with the orderly flow of visitors and vehicles during routine operations, public meetings, and special events while maintaining a professional presence.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least one year of security-related experience is required.
- Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
