As a Dispatch Officer at a government museum location, you will help coordinate security-related communications, monitor systems and alarms, manage access-control activity, and support response to incidents. You will maintain clear documentation, communicate professionally with staff and visitors, and contribute to a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or public officials by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities.
- Receive, prioritize, and dispatch calls for service, alarms, and other security-related incidents to appropriate personnel in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Monitor communications systems, cameras, and/or alarm notifications; document activity and promptly relay relevant information to site personnel and emergency responders as appropriate.
- Maintain accurate dispatch logs, incident reports, visitor information, and other required records in accordance with site policies.
- Coordinate with on-site personnel and public agencies during routine operations, critical incidents, evacuations, and other emergency situations.
Minimum Requirements:
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
