As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Driver in Middletown, PA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.99 / Hour

Valid Driver's License:

All candidates must possess a valid driver's license in accordance with the AU Driver Policy Requirements. This is essential for roles that require driving as part of the job responsibilities.

Access Control/Badge Experience:

Experience with access control systems or badge management is advantageous for positions requiring security clearance or facility access.

Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet:

Proficiency in using computers or tablets is necessary for roles that involve digital communication, data entry, or software usage.

Customer Service Experience:

Previous experience in customer service is highly valued, as it demonstrates the ability to interact effectively with clients and colleagues.

How This Role Works:

Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
Monitor access to the location by observing entry and exit activity, verifying credentials as directed, and reporting unauthorized access attempts or suspicious behavior.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
Prepare accurate reports and maintain required activity logs for patrols, incidents, access-related observations, and other security-related matters.

Minimum Requirements:

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
