What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to shoppers, visitors, and store personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and escalating concerns through proper channels.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the store, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic retail areas, assisting with access control, loss prevention support, and/or crowd management as directed by site procedures.
- Serve in an armed post while carrying authorized equipment in accordance with post orders, applicable laws, and Allied Universal standards.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
- Possess 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience, or 5 or more years of armed security experience.
- Possess a Level III Armed Certification for Texas only.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
