Security Officer Access Gate

As a Security Officer Access Gate in Midland, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and support security-related protocols with professionalism and care. In this visible role, you will help to deter incidents, assist visitors and staff, and deliver strong communication through teamwork, integrity, and a people-first approach in a fast-paced environment.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, badge and credential verification, and other security-related policies at a chemical and petrochemical location.
- Monitor entry and exit points, screen authorized personnel and/or vehicles, and document visitor activity in support of controlled access and security-related operations.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following post orders and emergency response protocols for the location.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around access points, operational areas, and the perimeter, remaining aware of changing conditions and reporting unusual activity or maintenance concerns.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
