Security Officer - Factory - Full Time

As a Security Officer - Factory - Full Time in Milan, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer in a manufacturing and industrial location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help discourage incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this role, you will support daily operations with integrity, teamwork, and a caring approach while contributing to a reliable and innovative culture that puts people first.

- Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related policies, and/or emergency response activities within a manufacturing and industrial location.
- Respond to incidents, operational disruptions, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout production areas, warehouses, loading zones, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify unusual activity and/or security-related concerns.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify visitor and contractor access in line with site procedures, and report unauthorized activity, damaged equipment, and/or facility issues to appropriate personnel.
- Support a visible presence across the location to help to deter unwanted behavior, assist employees and visitors with routine questions, and follow Allied Universal post orders and reporting procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
