Inmate Transport Officer - First Shift

As a Inmate Transport Officer in Milwaukee, WI, you will safely transport Inmates to and from the Milwaukee County Jail.

As a Security Professional with Allied Universal, you will play a vital role in supporting a government environment focused on inmate transportation. Your responsibilities will include monitoring and patrolling designated areas, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents, and providing exceptional customer service to all individuals you encounter. This position involves operating a vehicle as part of your daily duties, so a valid driver's license is required. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $28.00 / Hour

Must be 21+ years of age and must have a valid driver's license

Must have Law Enforcement or Military or Corrections experience

Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must possess a valid Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
• Must be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or have equivalent experience.
• Must possess a college degree.
• Must provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must possess a valid Corrections Officer License.
• A valid driver’s license in the job state is required and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements for driving positions only.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
